The Mazi audio soul project redux of Thugfuckers 'not a remix' is a sure fit for all your throwback/not throwback dance sets. More this is mostly because it uses nigh the same break as the ever popular 'groove is in the heart' during some segments as well as dropping a nice and sub 4/4 in others. Combine this with a nicely distorted bassline and an eerie little theremin track and you got yourself a nice little segway track, great for djing yourself into and out of a corner.
...and since were talking throwback, Thugfuckers 'Yes a Remix' listens like a '80's title score soundtrack. It's all galactic pad, drum machine and mega synth, the kind of thing that makes you think of long coats with flowery blouses, teased out, gelled out and otherwise bad fashion, also the Beverly hills Cop.
