Here's one for the electro hogs. If you haven't heard of him yet dust off your Salsa spork and get some of this; the samba cover band project of Warp Records' Funki Porcini, known as Señor Coconut. As a dj you might find his catalog of seldom use buuuuuuuuuuut if your sick of techno and just can't seem to get behing a song if you don't know the jist, or you just want to throw your homies a curve ball, then it's a total jem. It also helps that he usually does an incredibly good job at sounding amazing. His discography includes an album of Kraftwerk reworks as well as an album of (pop)party standards called "Fiesta Songs". I'm totally making this short so check his label newstaterecordings.com, where you dirty little bootleggers can find all of his videos and other releases. While you're there watch the cheak fest that is the video for 'Da Da Da.'
